My Project
This is a small yet mighty project for some organizational items to kick off the school year! I am in an older building where electrical outlets are randomly placed throughout the classroom. Last year I purchased the wireless electrical outlet switches and they were a huge time saver. The switch is plugged into an outlet where I am able to connect either single plugs or an extension cord that can control multiple switches, lights and electronics with one click. These additional switches will allow me to open and close the room with 1 click.
Every kindergarten teacher knows, that there is nothing like a sharp pair of scissors.
At the start of the year there is so much cutting and prepping that is needed to start the year. I am also requesting organizational items and cleaning products such as Lysol, a new stapler, and paperclip holder. It is amazing how much more productive I am when everything has a place in my classroom. Each year I work to increase my organizational skills so I am a good model for my students which allows me to spend more time on task, teaching, working with students and providing support.
These items may seem small but in a busy classroom with kinder babies who are ready to learn, five minutes can add up quickly and I truly cherish my small group and instructional time.
