This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of nineteen 5/6 year olds. They are eager to learn and absorb knowledge at a rapid growth. Kindergarteners love having technology at a station. Unfortunately newer technology is given to the upper classman first. This leaves the kindergarten students with older computers. We hope to improve the technology in our classroom by acquiring iPads for center use. We would appreciate and support you can give. Students will benefit greatly. Thank you advance for your generosity and consideration.

My Project

iPads makes learning fun! Technology engages students so they want to continue the practiced skill. In kindergarten we rotate literacy and math centers daily. Students rotate every 10 minutes to keep them engaged. They rotated twice daily. iPads will help add the amount of students at a time in a center. The iPad will also be used for classroom management by using it to award dojo points to the students. Student who earn 50 dojo points have the opportunity to have additional iPad time. Students enjoy the touch screens of iPads and it improves hand eye coordination. It is an asset in the classroom.
