Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

COVID-19 has put a pause on education across the nation. My students, whom are accustom to interacting with each other, have been confined to their homes. This pandemic has forced my students to complete their assignments via Microsoft Teams. The items obtained from DonorsChoose will serve as rewards and incentives to promote positive behavior once we re-enter our school for the upcoming school year and will aid us in establishing a Husky PBS Store to continue to promote positivity in our school for many years to come.

My Project

The materials selected will serve as incentives for my students that stayed on track with their studies during COVID-19. My project is setting the foundation of a PBS store in my school to reward and recognize students for outstanding achievement academically and also for exemplifying positive behavior. Assistance from DonorChoose will allow me to change the perception of how students view school. DonorsChoose will also assist us aiding our under privileged students at school by providing the necessary school supplies and personal item they would need to be successful. The establishing of a PBS Store in our school will continue to produce positive outcomes both academically and also when it comes to behavior.
