This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Snacks, drinks and body markers make it so my students are able to open up in therapy much easier which leads to more academic success. As a teenager, it is very difficult to talk about personal problems, an unhealthy home life, being bullied or abused.

Our students are courageous, kind and strong!

Last year, they taught me a lot about working in a school and just how resilient they are!

Almost every student comes from a home stricken by poverty. Most of these students don't have to go to school but they do and they choose our school. I feel so privileged to be their social worker!
