This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Given the nature of our work with blind babies from newborn to three years old and their families, infant massage education is particularly beneficial. Tactile experiences play a vital role in shaping their understanding of the world. The requested materials will support our instructional model, enabling parents to practice infant massage techniques safely and effectively.

Project Materials will be used:

Doll for practice: Allows parents to practice infant massage techniques without directly involving their child.

Blankets: Provide a hygienic barrier between the floor mat and child.

Baby wipes: Used to clean hands and baby's skin after massage.

Enhanced sensory development: Infant massage promotes touch and body awareness. Emotional connection: Fosters calm, trust, and bonding between parents and babies. Family well-being: Empowers parents to reduce stress and anxiety.

By providing targeted infant massage education, we can support the unique needs of blind babies and their families.
