Help me give my students the gift of learning to be a fluent reader! The old style listening centers with a cassette player and wires are quickly becoming obsolete and are difficult to find and repair.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello there! I am privileged to be teaching 17 amazing kindergarten learners this year! They are full of wonder, excitement, and untapped skill! Our school is a Title 1 school, which means many of our students come from low income homes. They go home daily without access to the internet and technology that is so imperative to today’s education.
My students come in daily; excited to see what new learning awaits them.
They are eager to soak up knowledge and experience all the wonderful things school has to offer. This years students really enjoy learning to read and be writers.
My Project
My students do not have the access that other students do to books and being read to. The wireless design allows students to be strategically placed to help them learn in their best environment. It also allows me to control the cd/cassette to ensure the care of the equipment. Most of my current listening library contains cassette tapes 30 years old. I am updating to new stories to meet today’s challenge of keeping students engaged.
This project allows students to hear examples of good reading while following along with the story.
Four students can listen individually at the same time.
