My Students

My students show up every day counting on school to be their safe place. They seek refuge from chaotic lives and unimaginable traumas. They long for the security of connection while fighting their own internal storm. My students need calm to thrive, socially, emotionally and academically.

My Project

So often, students come to school with the chaos of home stressors. Students will be able to experience a safe place at school to find calm in order to be productive emotionally and academically when they return to the classroom.

A space designed to nurture will provide students the opportunity to explore coping strategies and develop their inner peace.

This beautiful space will ensure a sense of integrity and self control for our most vulnerable student population. Coping strategies developed can be easily transferred across settings to include home and beyond.
