This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want diverse books in my classroom so that every student can see themselves reflected in the stories we read.

These books will open up new worlds, foster empathy, and spark important conversations about identity, culture, and the human experience.

Students are more likely to read and enjoy a book when they see themselves represented in the pages. I was very intentional with the books I chose for this project.

By providing access to a wide range of voices and perspectives, we can create a more inclusive and understanding learning environment for all.
