My Students

My full day kindergarten students come from very diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels. I strive to find the strengths in each student and would love to develop these strengths and improve each child's self esteem and fine motor skills through art.

I wholeheartedly agree with the above quote. When my students are working on art projects, the room is almost silent as they concentrate on their creations - whether it's painting, drawing cutting and gluing or coloring. They proudly show each other their amazing creations and complement each other's work.

My Project

Help me give my students the art supplies of their dreams! The different papers (including multicultural constructions paper for skin tones) will provide the base. The paints, colored pencils, crayons and watercolors will let their imaginations run wild!

My students absolutely LOVE art time.

We make a letter craft for each letter of the alphabet. Many of my students proudly display their alphabet art in their bedrooms.

We also complete a several month long fairy tale unit which includes art projects such as The Princess and the Pea watercolor, Jack and the Beanstalk Castles, fairy tale self portraits and many others.
