This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are located in a low economic community with about 95% free and reduced lunch. Some students are homeless. My students would very much appreciate what they have. Even the little things make a difference in their life.
My Project
This school has no STEM materials and even the students don’t have just the necessaries like crayons, notebooks, glue sticks. I have a cart that I go to every classroom to teach. I have to be very portable in my materials. They will do the Marble Run in my STEM classroom. The marble run will provide them with outcomes both in math as well as joy just doing the game. It will be indescribable to see the happiness in their face. They can use the marble run for problem-solving in a fun way.
