This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a set of doodle boards to share with my team of teachers to utilize during phonics instruction. I am also requesting paper towels and tissues as you can never have enough in an elementary classroom!
The doodle boards will allow for multi-sensory instruction to help students remember phonemes and be able to apply them to their reading and writing.
This will help students become more proficient readers and writers and prepare them for more complex tasks. Many of the students I work with have disabilities and multi-sensory instruction is a great strategy to engage them and help them learn!
