My Students
We have a class of very active and very inquisitive 19 boys and girls, ages 3-5 years old. We have several different cultures in our classroom. We serve a variety of socioeconomic levels and family structures.
We provide the foundations for children to be successful in, not only their academics lives, but also in their social and emotional lives. We are dedicated to meeting the children at their skill levels to achieve maximum learning potentials in future grades and beyond.
We also work to increase family awareness of educational and health needs. We offer many opportunities for members of the community to come and share experiences with our children inside our classroom.
We want the children to leave our classroom as lifetime learners.
My Project
We need more resources to the ever-changing standards in our curriculum. We need the play carpets to expand block play, the seashells, wood blocks and ramp to expand the science area. We also need more consumable art supplies for the increasing interest in the art area. We also need materials like the letter builder set as we work in small groups. The Stack and Build Emotions will help with students understand emotions. The Following Directions Building Set and Map-My-Town Learning Center will help lay the foundations for STEM activities like the Learn to Code File Folder Games.
Our classroom is always evolving and changing and we are in need of new resources and materials to help foster the creativity and learning styles of our students. We are also preparing for the start of next of year when we will get students who have never had a school experience. We want to make sure that we have the resources and materials available to help them make a successful transition into school.
