My Students

I have the most amazing 8-9 years old in the entire Salt Lake Valley! They are hard-working, fun-loving, energetic little people who want to be successful. When COVID-19 began these children were in their 1st grade year. Unfortunately since then, they have not had a typical school year. This has created a unique group of students who are not equipped to navigate the demands of social-emotional or academic learning.

My Project

Flexible seating stools will make a difference in my students' learning in a myriad of ways. First, having flexible seating options in the classroom is a great way for students to channel their excess energy into productive activities and can also be a great classroom incentive. Next, magnetic phonics tiles will help struggling readers to enjoy the learning process of makings words. Finally, for struggling students, being able to use these materials would be an exclusive reward. The above mentioned are reasons why I'd loved to receive these materials.
