This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager, motivated, and excited to learn. I have a classroom that consists of 5 and 6-year-old Kindergartners that for some, this is their first time in a school setting. Many of my students come to school with limited social skills and vocabulary to thrive in an educational setting.
They have great attendance and smiling faces as they enter my classroom each morning.
They are positive and happy every day. Although they have so many skills to learn, their hard work is evident in all they do. Our school is a STEAM Magnet with a supportive community. Many students ride the bus to attend our school and qualify for free or reduced-rate lunch.
My Project
I would like to request a gift card for Teachers Pay Teachers that can be used to buy resources to help differentiate work for students.
With some of my students learning in person and some online, a Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Card would allow me access to resources that would support the students based on their learning level and their learning environment.
Giving students access to resources at their level will support their academic development as we navigate a hybrid style of learning in a kindergarten classroom. This gift card would support the purchase of materials for all students.
