Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright, inquisitive and eager to learn!

Our school is in a diverse part of town so our students come from very different cultures and varied socioeconomic situations.

The largest portion of my students are from an impoverished neighborhood. They are very happy with any little thing you give them since they have so little at home. They are very excited about art, and many of them have never even been to a museum. I want them to get the most out of my class. I feel like art will definitely benefit them in the future and they will remember me for all I have taught them.

My Project

A new laptop will help me reach my students while online at home and in-person in school. I would use the laptop for everything from lesson plans, creating digital presentations, communicating with my students, and grading. The laptop will facilitate my teaching students an introduction to coding.

My students deserve access to current technology.

This laptop will allow me to provide access to digital resources and make learning more engaging and fun. I will also be able to take my work home with me to better prepare to meet the students' needs in case we need to go back to distance learning for everyone.
