My Students

Our students are ready and willing to take on the challenges of the new normal of online learning created because of the coronavirus pandemic. Our students have many diverse styles of learning and need exposure to 21st Century learning resources and hands-on materials. Virtual education is a challenge but our students are warriors and will rise to meet the challenge head on. Many have checked out laptops from our school and are working diligently to complete their assignments across multiple disciplines.

We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic and 1% Caucasian with 97% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although, our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high quality education to become productive citizens.

My Project

We are committed to equipping our students for 21st century math by building a solid foundation in mathematics concepts. Our students will build base-ten, place value and operations fluency through virtual manipulatives and guided notes.

The Teachers pay Teachers (TpT) resources will ensure that our students master and retain key math concepts necessary to successfully complete their real-world math online activities.

These TpT resources have been created and successfully implemented by teachers. This in turn will help our teachers save time in the preparation and delivery of virtual lessons through Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
