My Students
My students hail from a school in Chicago and excel in learning that is representative and reflective of their personal experiences. They are creative, thoughtful, empathetic individuals who benefit from hands-on learning experiences, as well as experiences that allow for them to learn in a "mirror" manner. They come to school each day ready to learn and tackle today's issues. They are truly my inspiration and ignite my passion for teaching.
Our school is located in the beautiful city of Chicago, and is extremely reflective of the diverse community in which we are located.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, especially when it is reflective of themselves, as well as current events. In our classroom we believe that collaboration, differentiation, and representation are key in being successful members of society. This class is full of the leaders of tomorrow, and truly deserves that absolute best when it comes to education.
My Project
Due to the current pandemic, my students are required to spend a majority of their day in front of a screen. They are working diligently to master skills that they had not necessarily anticipated needing prior to the pandemic. Many of the challenges they face include canceling out the background noise of their environment, as well as dealing with the strain of being on a computer for hours on end.
This project will provide students with headphones and blue light blocking glasses to alleviate some of the physical stresses of remote and hybrid learning.
