This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach aspiring 3rd graders who are determined to do their best work! In our classroom we have a motto, “Swimming to Succeed!” With the obstacles of learning at home and other online barriers, we practice the 7 habits of a successful student. These habits and our class motto put together, encourage students to become reflective leaders not only in the classroom but also within their homes and communities.
For many of my scholars online learning can be challenging.
Many of my learners fall into one or more categories of high needs. It is my hope that with meaningful and diverse resources, students will be able to have access to the necessary tools they need to continue to Swim to Succeed.
My Project
It is time for a second round of supplies! As we continue to learn at home, we have encountered that many of us need help gathering supplies to be critical and creative thinkers! These supplies will help keep diverse learners engaged throughout our day as we learn online.
Notepads and coloring materials will be used for art and to express ourselves during our SEL workshops.
Tools such as bricks and expo markers, will be used to expand students creativity and allow them hands on learning experience for math and science!
