My Students

My students are from varying backgrounds and educational aspirations. I have some which receive special education services for social or emotional challenges and others with learning disabilities. Among my current students, there are over 14 languages spoken in their homes, 3 of which have extremely limited English skills and require translation support from either an aide or student helpers. Some have aspirations to go to college and become a doctor, and others are just trying to graduate from high school. Inspiring and engaging them all is a constant goal.

My Project

Wowie! This distance learning stuff is a challenge! I've had my first class and office hours using Google Meet, but delivering content online and finding suitable resources has been a challenge.

The Biology Labs for NGSS: Digital Resource Bundle has online interactive labs and simulations and supporting video clips for 30 different biological topics!

This will get immediate use now during the school closures, but will continue to make the content interesting and fun when we return to the classroom too. As we continue to learn about DNA, we will immediately use the DNA to protein materials. I can't wait to receive the online codes so we can get started! Thank you so much for your support during this crazy COVID outbreak.
