My Students

My students attend 5th grade in an intermediate building with over 900 other fifth and sixth grade students.

We have an increasingly diverse student body in regards to both race and socio-economic status.

Our district, like countless others, is faced with the lethal combination of shrinking budgets and rising expenditures. At times, this can put even the most basic necessities out of reach. Fortunately, our community places a high value on education and has continued to support bond proposals that allow our district to continue to meet the needs of our 21st century learners.

My Project

Flexible classrooms give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them. It helps them to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and engage in critical thinking. My students would like flexible seating options in the classroom that will allow for body movement throughout the day without distracting themselves or their classmates from their studies.

The Adjustable Height Active Learning Stool allows a wide range of motion so when energy hits, students can stay focused.

The backless design encourages proper posture while strengthening core muscles.

Depending on the needs of each user, the Adjustable-Height Active Learning Stool can be used for individual desk work or easily moved around to create productive group environments.
