My Project

Donating books to our second-grade classrooms across the entire school is a powerful way to promote inclusion and celebrate the diverse cultures that make up our student body. Our school is based in a low-equity area, where many students often don’t have the opportunity to see their own cultures reflected in the books they read. By expanding our classroom libraries with stories that highlight a wide range of backgrounds, languages, and traditions, we can help every child feel seen, valued, and connected. This project goes beyond literacy—it’s about fostering a sense of belonging, building empathy, and creating a more inclusive learning environment for all of our second graders. Your support will make a lasting impact on our students’ academic and emotional growth, while celebrating the beauty of our shared and unique experiences.
