This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom will use these materials to fight their hunger and thirst with snacks and water. My students have lunch early in the morning and are very active, so later in the day they get excessively hungry and thirsty from play outside. However, due to my students being in a low income area, their parents do not have funds to purchase daily snacks, or sometimes they forget their snacks at home.
The hunger monster can cause students to loose focus which can cause low performances, but we can fight back with a good old snack break and hydration time!
With your help, my students can beat the hunger monster and continue to learn with a healthy and refreshed brain.
