My Project

Imagine you are a small child in a world of big people ALWAYS asking you questions. The problem is, you want to answer, but no one understands you. You are trying to communicate your basic needs, but figuring out how to move your mouth to make words that the big people understand is impossible. At least until the school speech therapist brings in the Kaufman kit.

Everything changed after you and the speech therapist worked together using the Kaufman kit.

You learned how to make words to tell the big people you are hungry, you need to go potty, you want to watch more Blippi, and that you LOVE those Kaufman cards!

The patience of the speech therapist combined with the clear visuals, sounds, and examples provided by the Kaufman Kit helped to articulate your words. Now you're producing intelligible words and the big people aren't saying "What?" or "Tell me again" all the time! It's frustrating repeating yourself over and over all for the big people to still not understand what you're saying. Thank goodness some generous donors helped your speech therapist get the tools they need to help you speak and communicate with the world! What a wonderful world it is when you have a voice.
