This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of students that are determined to do well in school. They are a very close group and support each other in every way that they can from social emotional to schoolwork to staying organized they are always there to help each other.

My students also push each other towards excellence by competing and modeling to always be doing their absolute best.

Many of them face severe adversities at home from incarcerated parents, to not having enough food to eat, to divorced parents but they still come to learn, to be their be selves & strive to get a good education.

My Project

My students sit on the floor in a circle for Morning Meeting, for read alouds & for whole group learning. This rug will give them a comfortable place to sit while they enjoy their learning. The rug will also be used as a place for students who prefer to do doing their work on the floor rather than their desk.

This rug will also be a tool for learning & mastering multiplication & division.

The students will be able to sit on or near the rug to play games & check their answers or to create study cards. It will be a great & fun learning tool for them to use day in and day out!
