This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Spanish teacher in two schools in Paterson, NJ. I have a total of 480 students ranging from kindergarten through 5th grade in one school and 6th grade through 8th grade in another school.

Many of my students do not have access to technology at home, but with your help, my students will have the opportunity be well prepared for this new century.

My students deserve the opporunity to use technology in their daily educational journey. This projector will broaden their classroom experience.

My Project

My students need a projector to see, listen, and understand my lessons better. Schools, nowadays, are pushing for more technological ways of teaching students since they know today's generation is becoming more and more dependent on technology. It is very difficult to engage students of today with pen and paper material or with using a chalkboard. I need a new projector for my class so that my students can clearly understand the lessons I give to them.

Providing a projector for my class would help polish my students understanding of the Spanish language.

This projector would also help to reach each type of student. All students do not learn the same way. Some students learn from hearing, while others learn from seeing lessons visually. With the projector, I will be able to reach every kind of student’s needs since a projector has good volume, bright colors, and easy visibility so that students can copy notes.
