it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are talented musicians with whom I have the pleasure of making music every single day. No two of them are alike and they form a strong family within the instrumental music program at our school. They all have the passion to play music and bring with them a variety of skills and talents from their unique personal situations. They all come from different home situations, education levels, cultural backgrounds, and self-identities.
With their strong passion and talent, there are still many students who do not have the ability to own their own instrument or to obtain private lessons, so we work to provide the highest quality materials, instruction, and educational opportunities here at our school each and every day.
They are hard-working and resourceful students and worth all the love and support I can give them to develop into better musicians and people.
My Project
We were so lucky to recently have donated to our program a brand new 9th generation iPad for use with our Marching Band and Winter Drumline ensembles for audio/sample playing, as well as for our two new digital mallet midi instruments.
In order to be able to use both new mallet instruments at the same time for our students, we need one more iPad and the cables and cover that comes along with it.
Please help us get this second brand new iPad that will help carry our students and program ensembles through for the next 5-7 years at least. Our current iPad that we have been using is so old that the apps won't update and we can't use most apps on it anymore. Our students deserve better!
