My Project

My students strive to do their best each day when they come to school and it is constantly my goal to give them an environment that they can thrive in. I have 9th and 10th graders that come from a variety of backgrounds. One of the amazing things about our school is that we put everyone on a level playing field.

Students thrive when they have an environment that fosters their growth and their learning.

It is my goal to set them up for success each day when they walk into my class. I also want to set them up to succeed in the real world as well.

The supplies I need will greatly help my students' learning. In today's age of virtual learning, I like to "throw it back" and have my students complete assignments on paper. However, this can present some challenges because many of them are not prepared for this. Basic supplies such as pencils and paper are hard to come by but are things that are so necessary in my classroom.

My goal is to ensure students are on a level playing field.

With the varying economic backgrounds that my students come from, I do not want to make it a requirement that they have these supplies with them, but rather have them provided for them. School is a safe environment for many of my students and I do not want to highlight some of the inequities, but rather provide them with a space where they are all equal.
