My students need an all purpose mobile easel. This easel will allow my students to demonstrate mastery of concepts in different content areas.

My Students
My students are culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged in a learning environment of biliteracy. I share 30 wonderful students in a dual language classroom setting.
My students love to learn by visual representations and by designing independently while sharing with others.
The students enjoy working in teams while manipulating their creations to demonstrate a concept. The students embrace and enjoy creating and improving upon their designs by displaying their work for other students in the class to see and add positive feedback.
My Project
This easel with a magnetic surface will allow students to use magnetic letters to make words and sentences throughout whole group an small group settings. Students will also use it to read big books and poems which will in turn help to to build and increase reading fluency. The white board surface will be used to draw and demonstrate that students have internalized science and social studies vocabulary. Adding and subtracting will be a breeze while students use magnetic objects and dry erase markers to compute addition and subtraction sentences. Best of all, students will be able to participate in shared writing activities with the lined surface on the back!
