My Students

My school is a co-ed Title I institution in North Carolina catering to approximately 700 students from all walks of life. Although we operate on a 100% free lunch system, we are still anchored in excellence. Everyday learning opportunities are provided to our students that allow them to explore, discover, and maximize their potential.

My students are like gems, different yet precious, and priceless.

Every year I expect a bunch of ambitious, hardworking, and willing-to-learn students. I am committed to my task of ensuring that I provide them with meaningful, purposeful, inclusive, and relevant learning experiences daily!

My Project

One of my goals is to build and foster creativity, collaboration, and conversation among my students. This can be achieved when students learn the concept of working co-operatively. With this mobile easel and the chart stand, not only will I be able to display morning greetings/work to students, display daily charts, or build a weekly word wall, but my students can use them to share their ideas, chart their thinking, problem solve, and model their creativity while learning in small groups.

Just 1 - one easel and one chart stand will allow all my students to interact with academic content as a group, small groups, and as individuals!

A learning space that is rich with students' input is ideal to capitalize on their strengths and implement fix-it strategies for areas needing improvement. With just 1 - one easel and one chart stand, engaging and relevant learning opportunities can be given to our future leaders, as they construct and reconstruct their own knowledge through collaboration and creative thinking.
