Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I now have the privilege to teach and inspire our youngest students! I teach 20 of the sweetest, hard-working kids you'll ever met! I have 16 boys and 4 girls. They all have the sweetest smiles! We are a Title I school that prides itself on making sure that all students know they can succeed. The majority of our children are eligible to participate in the free lunch and breakfast program. My students are kind-hearted and are determined to do their best every single day!
My Project
I am requesting a variety of items such as a portable projector, portable speaker and beginning reader books to keep our combo art and literature center together. The children will use the portable projector and Bluetooth speaker to connect to their iPads to project and watch their favorite storybooks come to life. My students need to be read to. They need to use every avenue available to them to hear stories read aloud and also watch them come to life. I also requested books so that once my students hear their story at school, they can take it home and share it with their families so the learning may continue past the last school bell.
