Help me give my students their own individual computer mouse for virtual learning to navigate computer programs that reinforce learning letters, sounds and numbers.
My students enter into our virtual classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a Title I school in Alberta, Virginia where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are having to learn through virtual learning. This means that they are not physically in a classroom, but learning at home. I want to still be able to give my students the opportunity to be lifelong learners. I believe with the right tools they will be able to explore and create a variety of products that will showcase their digital learning experiences.
My Project
The computer mice selected will be used for ease of navigation on the Chromebooks. Students are struggling with learning how to use the mouse pad on the Chromebook and the mice will allow them to complete their virtual learning work with ease.
The ease of using the mice will allow for more academic teaching instead of concentrating on how to use a mouse pad on the Chromebook.
An example of simplicity with the mouse: 'drag and drop' is much easier with a mouse as it only takes one hand rather than two on the mouse pad on the Chromebook. I am certain that my students will excel beyond measure once they are able to use mice.
