Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will give our 6th grade students the opportunity to take an active role in creating their school yearbook. With access to a camera, students will capture real moments from their daily school life events, friendships, and achievements through their own lens.

This hands-on experience builds creativity, responsibility, and teamwork, while helping students feel more connected to their school community.

By empowering them to document their own stories, we are giving them a voice and a lasting way to celebrate their year. This will give them a yearbook to look back on that they created for the last year in elementary school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
