Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a special education unit with kids that need extra help on their behavior. Our school is Title I which means that there is a large concentration of low-income students.

Our kids love hands-on activities, they are able to create amazing pieces of work with any materials that are handed to them

Our priority is to promote and maintain safety of our students, therefore I need to ensure that everything inside our classroom is safe and won't become threat to anybody.

My Project

In our classroom, our students present different needs, including sensory and behavioral needs. Our main goal in our classroom (after academics) is safety, therefore having objects that won't harm our students and the staff is a priority.

Our students present different needs, which include sensory and behavioral.

By obtaining the ball seats, my students will be meeting two of their needs, the sensory need by having flexible seating, and the behavioral need by having something that won't hurt someone else.

By using the iPad stand, my student not only will have their hands free to take notes, but also, since they cannot take them off, this wont become a threat to anybody.
