Help me give my students an adequate collection of fiction and nonfiction materials at enough different levels to accommodate the many interests and abilities of all learners.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager learners and deserve the opportunity to prepare themselves for the future by exposure to supplemental text to increase their reading and comprehension skills. Because of their unique learning styles it is vital to have a variety of teaching tools to promote curiosity and help cultivate a love and passion for reading.
My Project
Donations to this project will immensely impact the lives of my students. These materials will not only provide for a healthy and happy learning environment, but also one that can allow students to use the necessary materials that will enhance and deepen each child's quality of learning while helping them to develop and grow into strong independent readers.
With these materials they can begin to discover new concepts and ideas.
The most essential part of teaching is being able to provide students with the most engaging and fulfilling learning environment
Our school participates in the 100 Book Challenge, a reading program designed to get our students reading. Funding this project will allow my students with the opportunity for every child to be able to go home every night with one or more books and a reading log inside a folder. We want each student to read each night and enjoy what he or she reads. My classroom goal is for all my students to meet their reading log goal for the upcoming nine weeks.
