This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is a unique blend of Spanish-speaking students from diverse immigrant backgrounds, all eager to explore the world through literature.
They’ve expressed a strong interest in traditional stories and narratives that mirror their own lives.
The "Kids in Mrs. Z's Class" series perfectly addresses this, featuring a diverse classroom and individual stories that resonate deeply with our students. We believe these books will inspire them to become writers themselves, sharing their own rich experiences.
Additionally, I am requesting bilingual science and math mysteries. These resources will help sharpen their math and science skills through captivating mystery stories. We also seek traditional stories to enhance our collection.
To combat summer learning loss and strengthen their language skills, we’re also requesting Summer Bridge Activities 4th to 5th Grade Workbooks. These resources will provide valuable practice and foster a continued love of learning throughout the summer. Your support will directly empower these students, helping them build a strong foundation for future academic success and a lifelong appreciation for reading.
