My Students
You will never meet a more impressive group of fourth graders! They always strive to do their best academically, they are great friends to our classmates, and they are extremely good at adapting to new procedures. (They never complain about wearing their masks!) They always go above and beyond on their assignments and make sure that everyone in our class is included at lunch and on the playground. They love sloths, dragons, and making their teacher smile. I want to make sure they have every resource possible to set them up for success in our classroom.
My Project
This project will help me engage my students in literacy that will develop skills they will use throughout their life. These mentor texts provide great examples of grit, integrity, and compassion.
One of my goals as an educator is to inspire my students to be life-long learners.
Because it is my first year teaching, almost all of the books in my classroom have been passed down from retired teachers (Which I am SO grateful for!) I would love to add newer titles to our classroom library. These books are hand-picked by my fourth-grade class.
