This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are exceptionally hard workers. Many of them come from backgrounds in which they have to work part-time jobs, take care of their families, as well as manage their academics and extra-curricular activities.

My students continue to change my life daily.

Many people often think a classroom is centered around a teacher teaching students, but the truth is, I learn more about hard work, dedication and persistence everyday I am around them. Please continue to support my amazing and dedicated musicians in whatever we may need!

My Project

We are requesting support for transportation so that our students can travel as an ensemble. Our orchestra and guitar students will travel to Dallas where they will get the opportunity to explore a recording studio, experience art and culture, as well as make memories that will last forever. In the recording studio, our students will get to practice performing and recording tracks, just like a professional musician would!

Traveling expands perspective and heightens global IQ.

The more students experience outside of their own worldview and comfort zone, the more they grow as citizens and people. The activities we have planned for our students will help them gain knowledge, explore career opportunities, and grow as individual musicians. Traveling is something that every one should get to experience and our hope is that our students will grow because of the trip, as scholars and as humans!
