On the Road Again: Music Adjudication Festival, Here We Come!

My students need two buses to attend a Pennsylvania Music Educators' Association (PMEA) adjudication music festival.

My Students

During my career, I have taken students to numerous competitions and festivals which have tremendous artistic and personal value. Five years ago, budgets across the state were decimated, and the Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Orchestra festival appearances came to a stunning halt. My students need two buses to attend a Pennsylvania Music Educators' Association (PMEA) adjudication music festival. Please help.

The students of the instrumental music program deserve so much more than current resources provide.

The kids have tremendous pride in their diversity and ability to unite through music. Their presence at regional competitions and festivals uplifts and empowers students to build a stronger sense of self-worth and camaraderie with their peers throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The students have built an award-winning music program which deserves special recognition. Thank you for your support.

My Project

The bus sponsorship will afford the students the opportunity to attend the festival and participate in an invaluable enrichment activity. They will have the opportunity to present their work to regional collegiate professors and network with other students from the region.

Instrumental Music trips have been grounded since 2008.

The trip will give students further opportunities to see their full potential and continue to grow, while wading back into the pool of festival adjudications and competitions. Presenting large scale musical presentations outside of the regular school environment returns an energized school spirit, attracts new students, expands the students' talents, builds a stronger sense of community, and transforms students into ambassadors of good will.
