Help my first graders have the hands-on manipulatives to build strong number sense and mathematical reasoning! First grade is such an impactful year for math. Students are learning how to represent part-whole relationships using addition and subtraction equations. This foundational math knowledge will carry students at they progress through the rest of their studies and in the world beyond school.
This project will help my students learn math in engaging and hands-on ways.
With these manipulatives and games, my students will stay engaged during math centers. Using the Rekenrek manipulatives they will be able to visualize addition and subtraction and build their mathematical reasoning. With these resources, my students will be ready to be inquisitive mathematicians!
