This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the best students! They come to school each day ready to learn, ready to have fun, ready to be challenged, ready to be loved and ready to be educated! It takes a lot to do that everyday! As a teacher, I can truly say that given the circumstances sometimes surrounding our children with our population, coming to school ready is something that inspires me to come ready! Ready to teach and touch the lives of each and every student that I come into contact with.

What I want to do most is help shape the students we have into the most confident citizens they can be so that are ready for the world while empowering teachers to be able to do so at the same time!

My Project

This HP 15.6” Touch Screen lap top will enable me to attend professional development in today's virtual learning settings. There are so many professional development opportunities being offered to assist in virtual teaching and learning. I am aspiring growth in my career not only to help myself but to also help other teachers,

Teaching and learning on the go has become my new reality!

With new guidelines put in place because of Covid-19, I now have to do much of my teaching as well as professional development in a non-traditional classroom setting. Many times I am teaching and attending professional development from a secondary setting or from home. I am working on completing classes to become a Reading Specialist which will benefit every student and teacher on campus. This laptop will provide me with the technology needed to complete this work. I will be able to conduct small group testing and intervention even for students who are attending school virtually.

With the use of a personal laptop, I will be able to have one device to devote only to school/work!
