This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In all of the ways covid made difficult for learning, in one really big way it changed the way I teach for the better. In order to engage students I had to take everything I did in person and learn how to do it on the screen.
That kind of teaching has revolutionized my classroom.
No longer are the days spending hours making perfectly neat posters to display around the room. Now we make learning slides together on the spot and embed graphics and videos right in to record all that we've learned. I used a laptop to create learning materials with the kids and display them on a large TV screen. The kids can also access all this learning on their own chromebooks.
For our final project, kids are going to perform their own plays and use slides to create scenery and music to accompany their performance. This laptop will be a quick and reliable way to display this work to our audience.
