I need to attend this Literacy Professional Development presented by Jen Jones of Hello Literacy so that I can learn low-prep, high yield strategies to conduct more effective guided reading groups in my classroom.

My Students

My classroom is special because my students are excited about learning. This is such an important detail in their lives because many of my students come from circumstances that are less than ideal.

I am inspired to daily provide a loving, caring, safe environment in which my students can feel free to be themselves and learn without limits.

In return, they show me what determination looks like. I am truly blessed to be their teacher because everyday they teach me.

My Project

I am requesting the opportunity to attend the literacy professional development presented by Jen Jones of Hello Literacy. I know that attending this conference will allow me to grow professionally because the solid training in guided reading will empower me to implement high yield strategies to propel my students forward. I will be able to immediately implement what I learn during this conference directly into my classroom. I feel that my students will benefit because literacy training in the classroom takes place in multiple forms but none more important than during guided reading. I want to be more intentional and effective for my students and I am sure that attending this conference will empower me with the training necessary to do just that.
