This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
One of the most powerful tools a person has is the ability to write. I want to help my students become proficient and successful writers because the ability to write will impact their entire lives!
I'm a first grade teacher in southwestern Arizona.
My students are all learning how to speak, read, and write in English. My classroom consists of 27 energetic and intelligent children who work very hard. They have made incredible progress this year, and I want to help them learn so much more!
My Project
I want to make my students excited about writing every day. In order to do so, we must have supplies that help us accomplish our goal of writing every day. I am requesting 30 journals and glue for my students to use on a daily basis.
To you and me, writing with a colorful pen or a mechanical pencil is no big deal. To a child, it is the greatest thing on the planet! I am asking for colorful pens and mechanical pencils to use in our writing center. I love to provide special tools during writing centers to get the children more engaged in the writing process.
You can help my kids reach their true writing potential.
