My Students

This will be my first year teaching 4th grade and I couldn't be more excited!! I will have a classroom full of bright minds and big personalities looking to me to be inspired and encouraged.

4th graders think and feel big and it is my job to support them as they explore their world.

Because students spend so much time at school it is important to me that I provide them with a comfortable and safe environment. The items I have requested will help me do this.

My Project

On April 24, 2020, Stetson Elementary's fourth graders will be visiting Young AmeriTowne. Young AmeriTowne is an award-winning educational program offered to 4th-6th graders to help teach students about business, economics, and free enterprise in a fun and hands-on way. The fourth grade teachers will be presenting lessons and activities that introduce concepts such as supply and demand, job skills, work habits, banking procedures, democratic processes, civic consciousness, philanthropy, and career awareness. These lessons prepare students for the culminating experience, a day in Young AmeriTowne, where students-turned citizens apply concepts they’ve learned by working together to operate a 17-business town. This life-like simulation is an incredible learning experience for all students, that not only teaches important economic concepts, but also valuable life skills.
