My Students
My incoming students are coming to me for full-time on-line learning after going on-line last March due to COVID. Fifth graders are at a wonderful age where they are still excited to learn and are starting to question and think about things more critically.
My students face many challenges in their lives and our school has over 97% of the students receiving a free or reduced-price lunch.
Despite this, they work hard and are show up eager and ready to learn.
My Project
My hope is to be the best teacher possible for my students, and that they will want to show up day after day feeling safe, successful and included in our on-line community. To do this I need to transform a corner of my home into a virtual classroom where I can teach, share, and connect with my students.
I'll need a tablet mount holder to allow me to model and demonstrate concepts and ideas from above such as working problems on paper or drawing.
Doing so will allow me to project the work that I am doing directly to my computer screen for students and make concepts and ideas easier to grasp for the students.
A ring light and tablet mount is a must to allow me to connect with students while I teach hands free and am able to move around.
The standing computer station will save my back from not sitting all day and also allow me to be more dynamic instead of sitting static in front of the computer screen.
