My Students

My students come to school everyday wanting to learn. They are excited and curious about the world and how they can contribute to our classroom culture. I encourage my students to find their strengths and use them to make the most difference and to also acknowledge their weakness and work hard to grow and improve.

The boys and girls come from various ethnic backgrounds and various family situations, but that is not who they are.

A check box does not define them. We are a class composed of choir members, soccer players, gymnasts, musicians, artists, readers, chefs, jokesters, and even zombie hunters!

My Project

Sizzling hot is how we can describe our classroom...and not just because our learning is sensational! As the weather warms, so does our building. We get glorious morning sun but for safety reasons, our third floor windows open very little. Warm bodies (especially after recess!) drive the temps up even higher. No one feels much like concentrating when the heat has us drained, and air conditioning is out of the district’s budget. If we could add to the three classroom fans I already have in use, we could add some relief and feel ready to bring the heat to our academics!
