My students need Amazon Fire tablets. Students will use the tablets to listen to reading as a part of their daily literature centers. Listening to reading is a great way to increase students fluency.

My Students
My incoming second graders are so eager to learn. They thrive when they feel safe and engaged in their learning. My students have a desire to learn and to try their best.
My hope is to be able to provide a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable to take risks.
Second grade is such a fun and exciting year for the kiddos. They really start to develop their unique personalities and eagerness for learning! Many students do not come to school with materials that they need to help them be successful.
My Project
Students will use an Amazon Fire tablet to listen to reading. Students listen to reading as a part of their daily literature centers.
Listening to a fluent readers helps improve students reading fluency.
Many students do not have anyone that reads out loud to them at home. Having six tablets, will allow many students to listen to reading at the same time as a part of their daily centers. This will free up our laptops for other activities.
Students will be able to take the tablet to a cozy spot in the room to really grow their love for reading!
