My students are fourth graders in a low socioeconomic status area. Our school has a population of students where 94.1% are socioeconomically disadvantaged. More than three-fourths of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. In spite of their circumstances, they still come to school ready, enthusiastic, and yearning for new knowledge.
While many of my students lack resources at home, they strive to excel in the classroom.
It is not uncommon for my students to want to stay in during recess or after school to enhance their own learning. Our community rallies for and values education and is supportive of our school and our students.
My students will be able to use BrainPop in all academic areas. BrainPop will be used every day to front-load or support objectives presented in whole group instruction. These videos will be an effective way to engage students in math and science subject matter. BrainPop will present information via videos, puzzles, games, and quizzes in a way that is more conducive to the 21st Century style of teaching and learning.
Donations to this project will allow my kids the opportunity to see subject matter come to life in entertaining and educational videos.
All students in my class, especially those who struggle with a more traditional paper and pencil learning style, will benefit from BrainPop because technology is an extremely effective tool for learning. In addition, my students will use the earbuds to listen to information presented in BrainPop. Thank you for your donation and for supporting my students' education.
