This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project would help support my class of 17 unique and active kindergartners with a brand new Lakeshore Carpet. We spend 70% of our day learning whole group on the carpet in our classroom. Currently our carpet for whole group learning only gives each student about 1 foot by 1 foot of space.

My Kindergartners need some extra wiggle room to help them learn to keep their hands to themselves.

If funded, my students would get much bigger individual squares on this carpet. They would be able to sit comfortably during whole group learning time and get all of their wiggles out during our many daily brain breaks.

As these children grow and learn how to be kindergartners, please help support us with a new carpet that will fit our needs better.
