Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
There is no better exercise for strengthening the heart than reaching down and lifting up another.
I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.
Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, so I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they have learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape!
Help me help them so we end the trend towards childhood obesity!
My Project
We need a 48" Omnikin ball for fun game such as crab soccer, square ball, and many other games. The kids love playing these kinds of games. We have gotten one from another teacher once to use and fell in love with it. This is a good size to for all ages to have so much fun. Having an extra bladder on hand will save us time later on just in case something happens.
Your donation to this project will help over 600 students in my school get on the right road to do their part to fight childhood obesity.
With your help, we can get our students on the right track to start their own fitness program. Students will benefit from this program for many years to come. Teaching the students the importance of staying in shape is the key to their future.
